Traffic Jam in Belgian Forest Lies Abandoned after 65 Years

Looking like a scene straight out of the “Walking Dead” these pictures are actually taken in a forest in Belgium. This is Chatillion Car Graveyard, the worlds largest abandoned car graveyard that was left untouched for 65 years.

According to an urban legend the cars were left behind by US soldiers from the Second World War after they were unable to ship them back, they decided to leave them in a forest until they could come back and retrieve them. Locals however disagree, saying that its simply an old car dump of vehicles left after WWII.

At one point there were 4 car graveyards in Chatillion with over 500 retro cars however many were stolen and in 2010 the entire site had to be cleared due to environmental issues.
