Her Fiancé Died Weeks before Their Wedding, She Said Goodbye in the Most Beautiful Way

Earlier this year Janine tragically lost her fiancé and husband to be Johnny. In order to remember him she decided to say goodbye in the most beautiful way possible, by creating this photo shoot in her wedding dress.

Janine’s husband passed away 2 months before their wedding date, meaning Janine never got to wear her wedding dress on her big day. In order to cope with the grief and to find closure she decided to create this photo shoot with wedding photographer Matt Adcock

Her wedding dress had become a painful reminder of what could have been rather than the symbol of happiness that it should have been.

In order to deal with the grief Janine wanted to be photographed underwater in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. The idea behind the shoot was the feeling of ‘letting go’, and opening her eyes again to the beauty of the world around her.

Photographer Matt Adcock explained on his website that Janine’s story inspired him and that it was the first time he had done anything like this in his 10 year career.

Janine said that during the photo shoot it was the first time she had felt happy in 3 months, and felt as if Johnny was looking down on her and smiling.

Janine is an inspiring person who we thank for being able to share this tragic yet inspiring story with us.

This video shows more about the inspiring story behind these photographs.
