It took photographer Thomas Herbrich over 3 months and 100,000 photographs in order to achieve absolute perfection with these smoke shapes. After all that time and effort he finally settled on just 20 photographs that he thought were worthy of showing to the world.
When you consider the speed and unpredictable behaviour of smoke it really becomes clear how difficult it is to capture some of the beautiful and organic shapes that Herbrich has.
