So Ford have just announced that the Ford GT is very much alive and coming back into production in 2016 and the reason we are so excited is simple, just look at how cool it is. This time the engine has stepped down from the 5.4L V8 seen in the last car to a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 thats producing a rather impressive 600bhp.
Don’t let that smaller engine put you off, as the twin turbocharged six cylinder engine actually produces 50 bhp more than the Ford GT’s predecessor. The car is planned to be put into production next year and should coincide with the 50th anniversary of Ford’s dominance at Le Mans in 1966.
