These brilliant photos taken by photographer Robert Bahou show the more intimate side to family pets and animals. Photographed against a black backdrop, animals such as dogs, cats and even horses become the focus of these portrait photos, revealing an almost human side to them.
Robert started the photo series in 2014 and plans to continue by photographing different animals and this time he’s thinking more exotic, such as wolves, apes and lions. Working with animals is never easy though as he tells boredpanda:
“It’s not easy working with animals, especially when trying to get them to do the three things I need for a photo (mouth closed, sitting still, looking at at the lens).”
