Meet the owl that likes to land on people’s heads. The owl hasn’t been given a name, but has brought fame to a small Dutch town, with photographers from around the country visiting to try and photograph the bird. The 6lb (2.7kg) European Eagle Owl enjoys swooping down and resting on top of people’s heads.
Menno Shaefer from Zaandam, Netherlands, managed to photograph the friendly owl as it came to pay a visit to onlookers in Noordeinde town. No one is really sure why the owl behaves in this way as they are normally very shy animals. One thing is certain though, it’s totally adorable.
