Fire Rainbows are probably the coolest weather phenomenons however not many people have been lucky enough to witness one first hand because they are incredibly rare. In order for them to occur the conditions have to be perfect, more specifically the sun has to be at an elevation of 58° or greater, there must be cloud containing small plate-shaped ice crystals and even then the sun still has to hit them at the right angle.
Although it’s called a Fire Rainbow this pehenomenon has nothing to do with fire and gets its name from its vibrant colours and shape.
