Having a plant in your home or office has it’s benefits, but thanks to the confinements of small spaces it isn’t always possible. Luckily though there are solutions to such a problem, one of them being these beautifully designed lamps from the design studio We Love Eames.
Typically plants need a lot of care and nurturing in order to grow, not to mention a good amount of sunlight, but these lamps have been designed to house their own self-sustaining ecosystem which means there’s no human intervention needed and thanks to an LED light at the top the plants can perform photosynthesis without the sun.
There’s the option to either hang the lamps from the ceiling or have them standing on the desk. You’ll notice that the standing lamps light up without the aid of any direct electrical input. This is thanks to a new electrically conductive glass coating which allows the light to be powered from the base. Find out more here.
