For French photographer Ben Thouard the ocean has always held a special place in his heart. Growing up his father was a sailor and taught him everything he knows about the ocean and at 15-years-old he picked up the camera for the first time, photographing his friends whilst they surf.
From that moment Thouard knew he had found his passion in life and has pursued it ever since, moving to Hawaii at the age of 19 to fulfil his dreams. Now he travels around the world all year long, taking stunning shots of cascading and crashing ocean waves at the precisely the right moment, transforming them into almost mountainous structures and landscapes.
