If you’ve ever tried to create barista style coffee from the comfort of your own kitchen then you’ll probably appreciate that trying to create the amazing patterns that a barista does on the top of your drink isn’t as easy as it looks and takes a lot of practice. That being said, not everyone can afford to waste perfectly drinkable espresso until they perfect it which is why Las Vegas-based barista Mason Salisbury has come up with a colourful alternative.
Instead of espresso Salisbury uses food dye to create his vibrant latte artwork and as you can see, he’s perfected his craft. The process involves steaming milk and then infusing with food dye before pouring the foam into a cup and finishing with his own artistic finish.
