Think the traffic jams where you live are bad? when compared to the jams in China they’re nothing and to prove a point there’s the China National Highway 110 traffic jam which was so severe it involved tens of thousands of cars over a distance of 60 miles and lasted for a staggering 10 days. However, traffic jams might soon be a thing of the past in China thanks to this clever elevated bus concept.
Known as TEB for short the Transit Elevated Bus was revealed recently at the 19th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo and is being hailed as the future of public transport and although it’s currently just a concept and miniature model the idea itself looks promising.
Capable of carrying up to 1200 passengers the bus will be capable of passing over traffic, making public transport a far quicker way of getting around the city. If it gets approved it could be on the roads within a year. Check it out in the video below.
