Although virtual money that shows up on a phone or computer screen is very much there for the long haul, what happens to all of those tatty dollar bills and notes that are circulating around? the answer is they get shredded into oblivion.
Although it might make difficult viewing for some, seeing all of those notes getting mashed into pulp, it can be made a little easier by the fact that the Fed have recently developed a new recycling process that turns the bills into soil as opposed to the old method which saw the waste end up in a land fill. The whole process makes for a pretty interesting watch.
