This Photographers Work Will Change the Way You View Wild Foxes

Subject to media horror stories and urban myth there are few animals that divide opinions as strongly as the fox. Often seen as pests or a nuisance, particularly in urban environments there’s a common misconception in the UK that their population is out of control although there’s no hard evidence to suggest this.

That being said, there are many people out there that love foxes, take Dutch photographer Joke Hulst who captures captivating and intimate photographs of foxes as they go about their everyday lives. Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Hulst’s work is hugely popular on 500px and her photos have been viewed almost half a million times.

Hulst refers to herself as a “hobby photographer” yet her photographs look like the work of a professional. Using her DSLR and a variety of lenses she’s able to get up close to the foxes to capture the beautiful shots you see below. We don’t know about you but after seeing these we can’t help but fall in love with these amazing animals.
