South Korean Artist Creates Hyper Realistic Portraits That Look More Like Photographs

At first glance you’d be forgiven for thinking that the images you’re looking at are rather intense and close up portrait photographs, however on closer inspection you’ll notice that they are actually paintings – the work of skilled hyper-realistic artist Joongwon Jeong.

Using acrylic paints the South Korean artist uses real models, celebrities and even historical characters as inspiration for his highly detailed portraits, manipulating the paint using various brushstrokes in order to achieve an incredible level of realism.
