Toronto based artist David Irvine takes old paintings from thrift stores and then turns them into funny and creative artworks featuring some of pop-cultures most iconic figures. Storm Troopers, Godzilla, Doctor Who and even the creepy twins from The Shining all find a new home amongst the old paintings.

Irvine even runs an art store called ‘Gnarled Branch,’ which features plenty of art revolving around pop culture figures. He also sells prints on Etsy which are well worth checking out. You can view more of his work via his website and Facebook.
