18-year-old Madeline Stuart has decided to become a model and in doing so is attempting to redefine beauty standards. Her story is attracting a lot of attention for one little difference, Maddy has Down syndrome.
Maddy enjoys playing sports and dancing and was frustrated when she was held back by her extra weight. With the help of her mother Rosanne she lost 44lbs (20kg). This weight loss sparked her desire to become a model and she has since found a label called the Living Dead to support her.
Maddy is an 18-year-old with down syndrome that has recently decided she wants to be a model.

This weight loss sparked a new found confidence and energy in Maddy that has inspired her to start modeling.
According to her mother, Maddy wants to change the way people see her disability.
She wants to show the world that “People with Down syndrome can do anything, they just do it at their own pace. Give them a chance and you will be rewarded beyond your greatest expectations”.
Her mother says “I feel so blessed to have a daughter like Maddy, I won lotto the day she was born”.
