Multiple Rolls of Undeveloped Film Taken by a WWII Solider Discovered and Restored

Levi Bettweiser who is a collector and restorer of old historical film recently made an exciting discovery at an auction in Ohio. He found 31 rolls of film taken by an unknown soldier during WWII that documented his experiences during the war. Levi immediately set about restoring the film however some of them had been damaged by water and rust in the 70 years since they had been taken.

At first he had doubts “There is a large possibility that I might not recover a single image from any of these rolls of film;” he said. Despite this he has was still be able to rescue some of them “When I pulled the film that I had just developed out of my film development tank and look at them, I’m the very first person that has ever seen that picture.”
