Stylish Desktop Weather Display Shows You the Forecast with Real Rain & Clouds

This stylish desktop lamp blends the digital world with the real one by bringing real rain and clouds to your home. Designed by software engineer and inventor Ken Kawamoto, the lamp “breaks the barrier between the digital world and the real world ,” a design ethos and the inspiration behind the majority of Kawamoto’s creations.

The real-time weather device syncs itself up with the internet, allowing the user to ask what the weather will be like in an hour, tomorrow, or what it’s like on the other side of the world.

Kawamoto has kindly released the code for his device which means anyone who is clued up on how to make their own ambient weather display can do so. He’s planning on launching a campaign to get crowdfunding late this year, until then we will all just have to wait. Also for those of you wondering, sadly it doesn’t make snow.
