In her own words Monika Małek is a ‘catographer’ who specialises in the photography of all things feline and despite having photographed more than 200 of them on various shoots and projects her black and white photographs stand out as some of her most beautiful and captivating.
Małek became fascinated with black and white photography about a year ago and has continued to experiment with them ever since. Initially afraid that removing colour from her photos would make the cats look ‘less special’ the end result is actually quite beautiful as her intimate and often playful portraits capture the mystery and enchantment surrounding her pawed subjects that they’re most loved for.
