This amazing series on Tumblr takes the images captured from both Google and Bing maps and compares how the streets of Detroit looked in 2009 to how they now look as of 2012.
Plagued by its high crime rates and financial difficulties, these pictures provide a very clear view of how Detroit has faired under the strain of its multi-billion dollar debts. Its not all been negative however, there have been some signs of redevelopment. What these pictures show is fascinating – but also quite depressing.
