The first series will have 10 episodes yet AMC have already ordered a second series. Unfortunately we wont be seeing it until early 2015. Enough time to watch all 5 series of Breaking Bad again, right?
Spin-offs have a (maybe well-deserved) repuation of being awful compared to their predecessor, but there’s something about this which i just cant see going wrong. Vince Gilligan, the extremely talented director of Breaking Bad is returning to the directors chair along with a few fan-favourite actors from the original series.
Here’s a quote regarding ‘Better Call Saul’ from AMC President Charlie Collier;
“We join the fans in eager anticipation for this series, and today we happily confirm that our initial Saul order is for two seasons and a total of 23 episodes. When introducing any series, especially one with the DNA of Breaking Bad, there are countless factors to consider in making sure the show gets the launch it deserves. No half measures.”
