These incredible glass sculptures are created by self-taught artist Ben Young. As a man of many talents he’s into surfing, skateboarding, repairing furniture and works full-time as a qualified boat builder. In his spare time he also enjoys the art of sculpting with glass.
By using sheets of glass layered and cut into wave like shapes Young is able to create abstract interpretations of the ocean. His influence for these incredible sculptures comes from growing up in a bay on the northern coast of New Zealand’s North Island. Young doesn’t use any machines to create his sculptures, they are created entirely by hand.
