Father Asks Internet to Photoshop a Photo of His 6-Week-Old Daughter Who Tragically Passed Away

This story serves as a reminder that beneath the internet trolls and the ridiculous replies for thousands of photoshop requests, there is a lot of compassion still left in the world. Even online.

When Ohio father Nathan Steffel’s daughter Sophia passed away at just six weeks old due to medical complications, he put a heartfelt photoshop request on Reddit. Because Sophia was so young when she became ill she spent her entire life in hospital, the best photo Nathan had was of Sophia still wearing her medical tubing. Nathan put the photo on Reddit and kindly asked that someone would alter or remove the medical tubing.

The response by users on Reddit was touching and an amazing reminder of how compassionate and kind strangers can be when they see another person who is having to deal with tragic circumstances.

Here is the original photo that Nathan took.
