Last summer, photographer Ben Lamberty decided to make this beautiful and simple photo series of couples passionately kissing. He was inspired to create this project after he took a spontaneous photo of a couple kissing which he thought in his own words was “so cool”.
After he came up with the idea he asked friends to volunteer for the photoshoot. Some were just friends and others were real couples.
Ben sat in the room quiet, hoping the couples would forget he was even in the room. What was most interesting is the difference between those that were just friends and the real couples. The real couples were far more reluctant to kiss at first, perhaps because of the higher level of intimacy involved.
He set out to capture the intimacy and passion between the couples in a single image, and we think he has done an amazing job.
