Famous landmarks can be found around the world in many major cities. They often celebrate an aspect of that countries culture whilst also wowing tourists all around the world with their incredible architectural and engineering accomplishments. A good example would be the Statue of Liberty, which was originally constructed as an emblem to mark the friendship between France and the U.S. but has since become so much more.
Of course creating these impressive structures takes a highly skilled team, evident by the impressive construction work you see in the photographs below. Because most of these structures were built more than one hundred years ago photographs before they were finished are incredibly rare which makes these photographs even more incredible.
