We can forgive you for thinking that stairs are probably the most mundane of photography subjects when it comes to take a striking and impressive photograph but you would be wrong. Spiral staircases with grand banisters and intricate designs are far from ordinary and boring.

When captured from the right perspective which is usually looking down from up high they become mesmerising almost hypnotic spirals that draw your eye inwards.
