The talented visual effects artists of ILM helped to create some of the incredible visual effects for Marvel’s film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and in this video they’ve put together a breakdown of various scenes, showing exactly how they made it all happen.
A movie will sometimes have dozens of visual effects studios working on various parts of the films and in total the video shows over 900 visual effect shots from ILM contributed by its 300+ international crew. It’s amazing to see how much CGI is actually in this movie and how much of it you would have never realised was digital if you hadn’t seen this. Apparently a lot of ILM’s work appears in the last third of the film and involved the creation of helicarriers and the Washington D.C. and Rosslyn environments.
