Meet Gluta, possibly the worlds happiest dog and with good reason too – this former stray dog from the streets of Thailand has been through a lot in the past but still continues to smile.
It was first discovered that Gluta wasn’t very well when she started living in a dormitory. Her caretakers discovered that Gluta was having problems with her uterus and she was diagnosed with metritis, resulting in the removal of her uterus. Things were looking up for Gluta until it was then discovered that she had cervical cancer.
With her loving owner by her side, Sorasart Wisetsin, Gluta underwent treatment which included chemotherapy and laser treatment to remove the tumour.
The healing process has taken time and after a year and a half of treatment Gluta is finally getting back to herself. Her owner, Wisetsin, says that a spark in her eyes started to return and a smile appeared – and thats the only expression Gluta will ever need again.
