Who would have thought that something as small as a grain of sand could be so amazing, as these images of sand placed under a microscope and magnified 300 times show. Sandy beaches are pretty beautiful places but you could never have guessed it would look this good up close.
Each grain is unique with its amazing colours, shape and patterns. These images are taken by Dr. Greenberg and as he puts it himself “Every grain of sand is a jewel waiting to be discovered.”
