These amazing nightscape photographs taken by Julien Mauve are part of a series titled ‘After Lights Out’. At first they appear as if they are photographs taken at night with only small elements of light however under closer inspection they have a deeper meaning.
Mauve uses a mixture of found and photoshoped scenarios in order to create these gloomy nightscape photos that often feature just one single light. That single flicker of light whether a cars interior light or a bedroom with drawn curtains symbolises activity, hope and life in an otherwise dark and gloomy landscape.
