It’s been done countless times before in disaster movies, but there is something quite refreshing about the artwork and photography of Swopes. The Chicago based artist takes photos of her surroundings and then manipulates them to look like apocalyptic doomsday scenarios and surreal landscapes.
Although this might sound like a nightmare the images actually have a dream like feel to them and certainly paint a more happier picture of humanities last few moments on earth than your average hollywood blockbuster. If you like the photos below you can check out more via Tumblr.
