The International Space Station Takes Stunning Experimental Long Exposure Photographs

These stunning photos taken by Flight Engineer Don Pettit onboard Expedition 31 of the International Space Station show that space really is the most epic canvas ever. The long exposure photographs take around 10 to 15 minutes of exposure time each and are often made using multiple 30 second exposures stacked on top of each other using imaging software… the results are truly amazing.
