90-Year-Old Tortoise Gets a New Set of Wheels and Now Moves Twice as Fast

Mrs. T, the 90-year-old tortoise sadly lost her front legs whilst she was hibernating due to rats eating them. Her owner Jude Ryder in Pembrook, Wales, paid over £1,000 in vet bills to try and improve Mrs. T’s health however it had little effect. Thankfully Ryder’s son Dale, 37, is a mechanical engineer and came up with a brilliant idea – glue wheels from a model aircraft onto her shell.

The results of this creative fix is a turbo charged Mrs. T who according to dale can now travel and double her normal speed. Mrs. T was given to Dale as a present when he was 8 and she was in her 60’s then. Despite now being 90 she could possibly live for another 50 years!
