Having been in the position of the people who would receive such cards, McDowell knows all to well how difficult it can be for family members, friends and loved ones to communicate their feelings without saying or doing the wrong thing. She believes that people deserve a better way of expressing their genuine concern whilst still making the situation light hearted.
