For the last six years photographer Peter Tsai has been trying to capture Chicago’s unique skyline from above the clouds in a project he’s titled Cloud Chicago. During that time the Chicago based photographer has managed to capture enchanting photos of the city blanketed in fog by gaining access to some of the cities highest and best photo spots in buildings such as the Hancock Observatory and the Willis Tower Skydeck.
In order to simply just capture a photo Tsai would have to predict when the fog would descend which is not such an easy challenge. He would look for signs of fog rolling in over the lake before grabbing his camera and heading out to a vantage point he says on 500px ISO. The end result is a series of magical photos and as a bonus some stunning time lapses which you can see below.
