For the past twenty years Photographer Amanda Jones has been capturing photos of dogs and now she’s put together what is perhaps one of her greatest works yet, a book titled Dog Years: Faithful Friends Then & Now that shows photos of dogs decades apart. Jones was inspired to put together the before and after photos series by her own dachshund named Lily who sadly passed away during the making of the book.
Jones told the Daily Mail “Some don’t seem to age at all, yet others show the signs quite openly in their eyes, their jowls, and their grey hair,” she says that they show a clear resemblance to ourselves in this way and that this is what creates our deep love and connection with them adding that “One thing that remains constant is the love people and dogs have for each other. That does not change, no matter how many dog years go by.” If you would like to see more visit here.
