It may look like these photos have been Photoshoped but they are real, all captured by Finnish photographer Lassi Rautiainen. The male brown bear and female grey wolf were spotted by the photographer every night for 10 days in a row, normally spending several hours together playing, keeping each other company and occasionally even sharing food!
Lassi told the Daily Mail “No-one can know exactly why or how the young wolf and bear became friends,” but he has his own theory on how the two became friends stating that “I think that perhaps they were both alone and they were young and a bit unsure of how to survive alone…It is nice to share rare events in the wild that you would never expect to see.”
