17-Year-Old Syrian Refugee Embarks on 500km Journey to Greece with His Puppy

We wish them a safe journey.

Aslan is a 17-year-old Syrian refugee who fled from his war-torn home country to the Greek island of Lesbos, but unlike thousands of others who have made the same journey Aslan didn't do it alone, he had his little puppy called Rose with him for every moment of the 500km journey.

When interviewed by the UN's Refugee Agency Aslan spoke in broken English saying that "I love this dog. I need her.” When you take into consideration the tragic events that have caused the Syrian refugee crisis, the story of Aslan and Rose's journey is truly heart warming.
