Bride Becomes the 11th Woman in Her Family to Wear 120-Year-Old Wedding Dress

Most brides spend hours, weeks and even months trying to pick or find the right dress for their big day, but Abigail Kingston never had that worry thanks to a rather special tradition thats been going for the past 120 years. The Pennsylvania native recently became the 11th bridge to wear a 120-year-old wedding dress that has been passed down from generation to generation.

The first bride to put on the dress was Mary Lowry Warren who got married in 1895 and the last bride to wear the dress before Abigail was her own mother who got married in 1991.

Sadly due to its age the dress had discoloured and had a lot of small holes and tears, it is 120-years-old after all! and required restoration. It took 200 hours of expert work to get the dress to look like it does below in the photos. Even after all the restoration Abigail only wore the dress to the cocktail hour because of how fragile it is.
