After going on a walk on Vashon Island, Washington, in early September, Tillie the golden retriever and Phoebe the basset hound went missing. Their owners decided to contact Vashon Island Pet Protector who posted a lost dog notice on their Facebook five days after the pair went missing. Someone soon reported that they had seen Tillie on their property and that she seemed to be trying to draw human attention.
When they went to investigate Tillie didn’t move or come running over, she stayed put making sure that the rescuers came to her. When they finally made their way over all became clear.
Tillie the golden retriever and Phoebe the basset hound went missing whilst on a walk.
Their owners posted to Facebook to try and find them… and eventually a stranger reported a sighting.
Tillie was found right next to Phoebe who was trapped and unable to escape. Both of them were found in good health. They had been drinking rain water to stay hydrated.
