A City Council Is Searching for the Pranksters Behind These Funny Signs

Chester City Council, England, are searching for the pranksters behind these funny and sometimes mildly offensive brass plaques that have been appearing around the city attached to benches.

The plaques mimic the more familiar dedication plaques we are used to seeing that are in honour of loved ones that have passed away. According to the Metro the plaques are a form of protest against the council’s plans to implement a new Public Space Protection Order. Those opposed believe that it will be used to target the vulnerable such as the homeless.

The council have already removed the plaques and are looking for the culprit. No matter your opinion on them you can’t help but agree that it’s definitely attention grabbing and has certainly made a point.
