As of March 27 2015 Astronaut Scott Kelly and cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko have been taking part in NASA’s ‘A Year in Space’ mission to study the long term effects of zero gravity on the human body. The two of them are in it for the long haul, spending 522 days circling our beautiful planet within the International Space Station.
