Fascinating Photo Series Reveals How Cats Look from Underneath

Taking photos from underneath a glass plate, photographer Andrius Burba shows us a completely different side to the internets most loved animal. Featuring different breeds of cats the series appropriately titled ‘Under-Cats’ shows us the side of cats we don’t always get to see, offering us a look at their squished up bodies, fur and paws as they are pressed up against glass.

Burba was inspired initially inspired to start the project by a similar photo that she came across whilst online, “I was fascinated by their cute little paws which were impossible to resist to look at. But the main idea which I wanted to express through these photos, is that cats feel embarrassed about this part of a body which people don’t get to see daily.”

In total it took several hours of preparation, a day of shooting the photos at the International Cat Show and four weeks of editing. You can see more from the series here.
