Ever since 2006 Russian artist Tatiana Barakova has been busy creating adorable lifelike plush toys using needle felting and wool. Unlike the plush toys that you are probably familiar with from childhood memories Barakova toys take an incredibly long time to create by hand, often up to two weeks!.
Created from 100% sheep wool and using proper glass for their eyes these adorable creations are more ornaments than actual toys to be played with. The combination of using real sheep wool and Barakova’s talent for bringing the toys to life results in some pretty adorable creatures, from hedgehogs, foxes, puppies and even more exotic animals such as tigers and elephants!.
