Take a Look Around Dublin’s Beautiful 300-Year-Old Library

Visit Dublin and you’ll soon find that there’s plenty of attractions to see, from the famous Guinness Storehouse to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, but one of the cities most beautiful attractions is the Long Room inside the library of Trinity College.

Built between 1712 and 1732 this 300-year-old chamber measures and impressive 65 meters (213ft) and is home to over 200,000 books. The reason the library is home to so many books is that in 1801 the library was granted permission to claim a free copy of every book published in Ireland and Britain.

The largest library in the country and home to a famous manuscript titled The Book of Kells which was written by monks more than 1200 years ago, the reasons to visit this place just go on. If you’re ever in Dublin then be sure not to miss it off your list!
