These Colour Palettes Inspired by Famous Movie Scenes Are Beautiful

Black and white movies aren’t a thing of the past, in fact there are movies that have been release recently that look even better in black and white. Take Mad Max: Fury Road for example, opinions aside on the acting there’s no denying that the movie is visually stunning but it also looks equally as amazing in black and white as proven by this trailer

Inspired by the importance of colour in movies the Twitter account @cinemapalettes has been busy compiling a palette of more than 200 different colours that can be paired with famous movie scenes and the use of colour really is quite fascinating. Colour allows directors and story tellers to add another level of depth to their movies that otherwise wouldn’t exist and also lets them use colour theory to sway an audiences emotions or reaction on a scene or specific character. Complexities aside however, there’s no denying that these movie colour palettes are beautiful.
