Salvaged Scrap Metal Transformed to Create Graceful Kinetic Steampunk Sculptures

Exploring the relationship between machines and nature artist Chris Cole focuses on where the two of them meet, using his two obsessions as the fuel to create salvaged metal steampunk inspired sculptures. Made from discarded metal the sculptures take on the form of fish, reptiles and birds and also move thanks to their internal mechanisms.

Birds gracefully flap their wings and fish swish their fins as if they’re alive in fluid and graceful movements highlighting Cole’s interest in the animals anatomy and the physics behind their functions and inner workings. You can see more on his websiteFacebook and Instagram.
