After Tyler Wilson spotted a Golden Lab wondering around on its own near his home in Kentucky he naturally assumed the dog was lost. As it turns out, Wilson had previously spotted the dog a couple of weeks before so when he saw it again at his local gas station he thought the dog had been lost for some time and decided to check its ID tag, however he could never have guessed what it read.
“My name is Dew. I am not lost. I like to roam. Tell me to go home,” the dog tag read, “Once I saw it, we both looked at each other and I knew he was OK,” Wilson told The Dodo. Although Wilson took note and decided to let the dog go on his way, he first petted him and even gave him a hug. Since sharing the photos on Twitter Dew the golden lab has become something of a local celebrity as he’s known for roaming around his home town and greeting strangers.
His owners are well aware of Dew’s adventures and allow him to roam freely before he returns to their nearby farm, “Dew loves to make new friends,” his owners told The Dodo. For those worried that Dew might go missing, fortunately the family has him chipped and he wears a GPS tracker so that they always know where he is. The dog came over and sat down next to Wilson
Concerned, Wilson decided to check the dogs ID tag and was relieved to see what it read
“My name is Dew. I am not lost. I like to roam. Tell me to go home”
As it turns out Dew the Golden Lab wasn’t lost at all, he just wanted to make friends!
Dew has since become something of a local celebrity in the area, known for greeting strangers
He lives on a nearby farm with his family and is allowed to freely roam around the area
Afterwards he always returns to the farm and his family
And although he loves to make new friends, his family always make sure they know where he is by using a GPS tracker
Which means Dew remains free to spread the love to whoever he meets next!
