Although for many people this time last year Pokemon was nothing more than a fond childhood memory the popular card game and brand has made something of a comeback in the later part of 2016 thanks to the hugely successful PokemonGo game, inspiring a new generation of Pokemon lovers as well as sparking a wave in creativity from artists around the world, one such artist being Lunumbra.
Taking people’s original Pokemon cards, some as old as 1999 when the card game was first released, Lunumbra breathes new life into them using acrylic paints to create vibrant works of art that span across the entire card before sealing them using a gloss so that they stay pristine and perfect once again.
