Given that watching a human play the knife game is almost unbearable to watch, because humans often make more mistakes than precision perfect robot, it doesn’t make watching this video of a robot playing the game with a human hand any easier to watch.
The knife, which is attached to a Stäubli TX40 robotic arm certainly won’t be winning any prizes for speed but it does do a good job of not chopping of the guys fingers, so there’s always that. Either way you look at the situation attaching a knife to a robot isn’t probably the cleverest of moves – they’re also prone to glitches and malfunctions too.
